Energy costs will account for around 80% of the total lifecycle cost of your compressor, so investing in an energy efficient system should be a priority. Our Atlas Copco air compressors combine expertise and innovation to offer you some of the most efficient and cost effective air compressors in the East Midlands.
In the range, you’ll find air compressors for a wide range of industries and applications, including:
- Food production
- Water treatment.
We supply four main types of air compressors in the East Midlands.
Screw compressors are highly energy efficient. They can operate at high speeds, with low noise and deliver a large flow rate from a unit that is compact in size.
There are two options: oil-injected and oil-free, both of which offer fixed or variable speed drive operation.
These compressors use oil directly in the compression chamber. Oil will cool and lubricate the compressor element during operation and minimise compression leakage in the chamber.
They are designed to run for several hours at a time and are ideal if you need large quantities of air at high pressure. The Atlas Copco GA compressors are designed for continuous duty, comfortably running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

These compressors don’t use oil directly in the compression chamber, but may use it as a lubricant/coolant in other areas of the compressor such as the gearbox.
These compressors are incredibly quiet, energy efficient and low maintenance, thanks to their minimal moving parts.
Also known as reciprocating compressors, these are some of the most economical and inexpensive compressors we supply.
